about us

Our story

In an agricultural state best known for corn and soybeans, we’ve embraced alternative methods and established an alternative crop that's better suited to our farm in the valley: American Elderberry.

Our family’s journey with this farm began 40-odd years ago, when “Gramps” purchased the first 40 acres. He remembers the seller saying that it would be a great place for kids to grow up and, as it turns out, truer words were never spoken. All six of Gramps’ grandchildren were raised here – fishing in ponds, splashing in creeks, and learning the value of hard, honest work at his side.

The kids have since grown and pursued their own paths, some returning to the valley with their spouses and children to carry on the tradition.

We count it a blessing to be with and work with family, and we’re grateful for this special place that four generations have come to love. We do what we do because we believe in the goodness of natural remedies, and we believe in the value of elderberry.
